intersting sleeve. 1st time seen sleeve cut out like that. cant wait for review.
PM me for pricing. :sneaky:
this gonna used for bashing definitely. racing wise, scary fast & too much torque. my guess only.

 I have yet to try the .28 and here's another engine from STS and its a .30.

I have heard a lot of good reviews about the .28, I just hope this .30 will be as great.

Any idea about the $$$??? :p

Horatio 08-12-2006 05:39 AM

STS .30!! With 5 ports!!

Hmm - I'm liking the sound of this engine already!!! :D Hopefully it will retain the STS value for money too.

cost will be in the $140's
if I can get all my yard work done this morning I am going to try and get this thing installed and run it and see what happens.

ok heres the latest. got the motor installed in a savage, wnet to hook up throttle linkage but the small set screw had been crossed into the brass link
so when I adusted it it wont retighten. need a new brass ball link. so I ran the motor any way since I needed to do some heat cycles.
needle setting were way to rich and it just pumped fuel out the exhaust pipe.
screwed the lsn in about 2 turns and the hsn in about 1/2 turn. motor starts right up (once I unflooded it and recharged my igniter) and will idle nicely now I have done 2 heat cycles so far. and am waiting for cool down right now. you can sure tell it is a larger bore motor the exhaust pulse coming out of the pipe is very strong. I have to recharge all my batteries and fix the carb link then I will try and drive it tomorrow. Back to the heat cycles.

Ryan, wich pipe you will use on that .30 one ? .. the .21's are OK or too restrictive for the beast ?

ryan6682 08-16-2006 12:53 AM

right now I am using the stock pipe that came on the savage.25
everything except motor is stock savage stuff

jfc_tech 08-16-2006 12:57 AM

ok, keep us posted again. i think savage need the wheelie bar for it.
man, u use stock savage pipe.. that must be loud. :D
ok, how many tanks already... picture if can.
thanks ryan.

Horatio 08-18-2006 05:57 PM

   yea yea. sure exploding torque.

ryan6682 08-22-2006 07:50 PM

ok so i went and got the truck ready to run. motor started on second pull, still very rich would barely move the truck. I leaned the HSN 1/4 turn so truck would drive. was leaving smoke and raw fuel trails on the blacktop in my culdesac. ran about 1/4 tank and got bored just driving and bilipping the throttle. So for a real world test (rushing break-in(dont tell me you havent done it) like some guys do) I leaned it a full turn. and drove it around alittle till it had cleared the pipe. then pulled the trigger once to see what would happen. I have a stripped plastic spur gear just that quick. shut it down and moved piston to the bottom. gotta get a spur I think I will put aluminum shoes on it while Ihave it apart.

jfc_tech 08-22-2006 10:44 PM

u naughty rush break-in guy. now u 've stripped the plastic spur.
muts've been the cutout sleeve thing. :sneaky:
