Buy the one with the Aluminum head, it dissipates heat better than Magnesium.

But I believe you can't beat the price of the Novarossi LL5, both engines can take more Nitro as long as you add shims accordingly to the head button.

Default 12tz spec II plug choice

Which plug is best for the 12tz spec II running 16%?
RP6 or RP7?

Hot/humid climate and medium to large tracks.

bit of a thread resurrection but i just blew one of these up and faced with the dilemma of rebuilding it or getting an equivalent price new engine. only engine in the price range really is the RBtuning junior for $140.. i paid $200 for the os and had no complaints about speed. sure, the $700 mod motors kill me, but it keeps up to 353's and the like np it seems.

the sleeve of my t3 was fine. rod snapped, piston, head gone. i could reuse this t3 sleeve if i want, so im tempted to get the t5 sleeve instead and modify it to spec1. also the T5 crank. would there be a worthwhile performance increase doing this?
I could take the crank to a friends machine shop and have them bore it out to 8mm just as easily, or should i leave it be and just do the 5port mod? or just say screw it all, stick with a new t3?
