Add the extra shim that comes with it. That will work for 30%

has anyone experienced run-on with the spec 2 mag head motor? (motor runs on at refueling, but does not starve on the bottom end off the corner?)

Try leaning the low speed more, it could be too rich. How does the plug look after a 5 min run?

plug looks good, I tried leaning the low speed more, but it only increases the run-on? (was wondering if it may be a function of the magnesium head?)

The head does raise the temp a little due to reduced heat dissipation but if you stay on top of the tune it's not a problem. Try lowering the idle, check the clutch too. If you're running a grey clutch shoe and a small gap the clutch could be dragging due to the shoe heating up and swelling. You may just be too lean on the low speed too so try that first.

Hi to all, I bought the OS SPEED t1040 SC pipe set for my coming Speed 12tz SpecII ALU. I really looking forward using it on my NT-1. Hopefully i will be a new happy owner of the Speed range engine, this is my first OS 12 size engine...

Is there any more advise from you guys on the speed engine? In my country, many OS racers use the inexpensive Sage pipe(Taiwan pipe), the one have a ring on the stinger just like a Jammin pipe. Any comments?

that sage pipe is good for small medium track and is of a softer material...
for OS can try skyline pipe.

the os pipe is nice but it is also soft. I prefer the skyline vr12plus. I run in very hot weather 100+F with 140+F track temps

Finally, received my OS speed spec2 ALU... Need advise from you guys, the engine combustion head with 1 x 0.2 and 2 x 0.1 head shims total of 0.4mm. I intending to run with 25% fuel. Should i leave the head shims alone or remove a 0.1 from it?? Pls kindly advise...

i believe the OS comes shimmed for 30%...
in yr case, leave it alone for 25%.

to be sure, u gotta check the actual head clearance. 0.5mm needed for 25%.

But fro now is 0.4 head shims total. Meaning i need to buy a 0.1shim to put it total of 0.5shims on running 25%?
