If I remember it right, the high speed needle is 3 turns out from close, low speed needle is 2.5 turns out from close, middle speed needle is flush to the carb body. I'll try to check it out since I don't have my manual right now... Left it in the Philippines and I'm in Florida right now...

O.S. Speed .12TZ Spec II: Anybody else run this engine? How has break-in been? Is it still too tight like version one or is it better?

RMD,

It's still very tight like the Spec I. Mine has nearly two gallons through it and still sticks when cold on occasion. I've been running mine on 30% with 1 extra copper shim and a P8 plug. It makes for very good rpm set up like this and good mileage as well.

I broke my spec I. and spec II. with wot methode. I think this is the the best methode for OZ engines. but be carefull with the conrod. If you run competition you have to change your conrod every galon. this engine is tight and thatswhy it has to much stress on the conrods. You now the conrods from OS speed's are same as the OS TZ ! And I thing this is wrong. this engines need a new stronger conrod because of the high rpm.

Socko and CIMRI ~ Thanks for the feedback.

Two guys ran the Spec I at our track. Both ran pretty well - but one guy gave up on his cause it just wouldn't run right after a while and he went back to running his old motor.

RC Market ~ CIMRI's engine didn't break. That is how he broke in the engine - Wide Open Throttle method.

I don't run WOT on TZ. Been seeing many RC buddies here broke the piston during run-in with WOT. Even if it success with WOT but later on the crankshaft hinge pin also worn out abit.

Usually I runing-in the engine with 60~80 temp C

I checked my crankshaft hing pin after every race and have no problem. The spec II have a wonderfull black coating on the crankshaft and this protect the hing pin.

No, OS plug fits OS motors only, Nova Rossi fits Nova Rossi Motors.
