Great advise bvoltz ...So what is the average run/racing time of your engines with the same piston and sleeve using this method?

Few days ago at my other local track I managed to nearly get 7 minutes of run time after some engine tuning. The track was slippery though so surely some fuel was used up, but probably not that much.

Well I have just 2 gallon though my OSTZ engine and the Speed, I just broke it in and put it up. The speed is for the bigger races and the TZ is for weekend racing... It is time to change the rod in the TZ but other then that she is working like a dream. After every race, I do take the engine and car completely down, clean it and check for any issues, measure it out, etc....

A number of people have commented about the sound of my engine over there engine, I get more RPM, it sounds much better, etc.... I would not recommend this way to break in an off-road engiine, but on-road, when we get up on the RPMs of the motor, this is the way to go... I do like changing the temp of the motor during the break in, as in up to 220 for a minuite or two, then down to 200, then back up then down, but staying in the range on the temp of 200 to 220....

Quick question for everyone, is the OS tz motor a Novarossi type mount or a Picco type mounting, for a monoblock engine mount, thanks!

well, all i can say is its good. previously i m using it with os speed pipe, result was lack of low end power, but really save fuel consumption, i think it was around 7mins. Then i keep it away, until recently, i used it with Kyosho T. Shimo (5mm) and VXR pipe (6mm), i found that 6mm is more powerful. Actually i have a wrong concept all these while that 3 port should use 5mm pipe for more back pressure, but then there was once, i used it with 6mm pipe, wow, i was really surprised with the power it give me, low, mid, high. really satisfied.

So i was wondering if this specII is worth to get, as i afraid that maybe there are just some slight changes. but i think i will get it, its just a matter of time, considering the price, yeah, y not? keke.....

so when u gonna run-in your engine? i would recommend u to heat the engine with a heat gun or hair dryer 1st, then start idle for the 1st start, in that case, u will have no problem of piston stuck at top end of the linear.

since you mention 'tight" , i recently got my 2nd std Tz, haven't broken it yet...when i move the piston up and down , slightly feels llike it was less "tight" then my previous tz b4 breakin in.....or maybe it's just my imagination
