so long as its got enought ARO, no need for air tight bag.

If I am going to store my engines for a while I will pull off the back plate and put a good amount of mineral oil inside making sure to turn it over a few times by hand to get good corvrage on everthing. I use mineral oil because some of my engines have a pluged crank and most ARO will eat that plug. Then I put the back plate back on, plug the carb, exhust and fuel inlet. Then spray the engine with a good amount of WD40 and place in a ziploc bag and just before zipping the bag all the way I squeze as much air out as I can.
Better safe than sorry!

Take them with you, they'll love it...
Seriously, I always keep the little silica bags that come with electronic devises to trap moisture. Put those in the bag with the engine and all is good.
