nosram engines
 

has anyone heard much of this brand of engine. at my lhs they have these and reackon they're awesome. i've not heard of them before. i'm especially interested in the .12 size. any comparison to lrp or sts?

I have been running the RS21 on my buggy and it run great and hold it tuned very well. I will be racing the RS12 this coming weekend on my R40, I was impressed with the speed and fuel efficiency when I was breaking-in and tuning it.

CKmaxx: Don't get it confuss, not all Nosram/LRP engine are OEM from SH. The RS12 Speed is a picco based engine.

so wouldnt it be wise to buy the SH as opposed to the LRP or Nosram as they seem lot more expensive?

i think LRP and Nosram are not the same as SH. maybe same company but different engines altogether?

Is the onsram RS12 similar to the LRP Z12r spec2?
If so .. that picco-based engine is a real rocket :eek:

wy103: The Nosram and LRP are the same engine. The 12 size is manufactured by Picco and the 21 size by SH according to Nosram/LRP spec. I have been running the Nosram RS12 and RS21 - Special, both the engine run great and they are fast. However when running the the RS12, just make sure that you allow the engine to rev.

berky: Yes, the SH is indeed cheaper than the Nosram/LRP engine, but I believed they are some diff in quality and timming between them.

HI I HAVE JUST BOUGHT A NOSRAM RS 30 RR MONSTER ENGINE TO REPLACE MY PORTED FORCE 32 MOTOR CAN ANY ONE TELL ME WHAT THEY THINK OF THE RS 30 RR MOTOR AS I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW PEOPLES VIEWS ON THE ENGINE AS THEIR IS NOT ALOT ABOUT THIS ENGINE ON THE INTERNET APART FROM THE NOSRAM SITE
