I will add this. The mega zx12 won the sedan nationals. Any motor that makes it into the A main is a good motor, but only one person was able to pit ever 5:30 in the main and that tosolini with his mega zx12. That speaks for itself. No flame outs, no running out of fuel, Just cinsistent as a good motor could be. He ran the motor with the pipe and header as it is in the power pack. No I am not saying it was stock, because I do not know, but it was a zx12 mega with normal pipe and header.

If my LHS has plugs I think I may try the ZX12 for myself.

I have seen many ZX12s in my track and used to own one as well. All I can say, is that tuning this engines is so hard, and you will go crazy before you can get one to fully setup. I'd recommend the OS TZ. I have helped many guys tune their TZ since they like to lean the bottom needle (which is a no-no for this engine). The engine loves factory bottom needle setting, and only need to mess with the idle needle to keep the RPM down or up and the High-speed needle to keep it from being rich and from being too hot. How can it not be good from factory; look at all the different people modifying the engine (Murnan, OS, Carlsen, EB, Zepphin) just because its a reliable engine and racers love it. You cannot say it cant hang on with the big boys since Darin Ishitani and Robbie Collins were both using one at the Nationals....

It is ROAR & IFMAR legal, not EFRA. Oh, by the way, it's fast!

That is just what I got. I just got a Plus 12-3C from RC-toro.com for $295, which is overall the cheapest if shipping fee is included. Now, I just hope that this engine would not be a nightmare for tuning. I am so used to tune OS, which is nothing but a breeze.

My Vote goes to the O.S TZ .12 EB Modded. I have one and raced it twice and love it. I've had many differnt high end engines and feel this one has been reliable and most consistent as the laps pile on. Tons of trq and lots of top end.

Cheers,
