How far should piston go through cylinder?
Engine had serious problems this past weekend, flames out as soon as it gets enough hot, usually after 6-8 minutes.

- When exactly is it flaming out on you? Are you stopped, on-throttle or off-throttle?
- What is the engine temp after 6-8 minutes?
- What fuel, head clearance and plug are you running?

-It flames out off throttle
-Temperature is around 120C
- 16% Power save racing fuel (11% oil) is used, standart head shimm (i guess its 0.1mm), and Orion plug Nr.6.

That whas quite a hot day, ambient temp around 30C
To add, motor had very nice idl when its cool but after few minutes of driving, it just wont idl at all

Peak CRF and Orion CRF are 100% the same (except the head color and logo)?

What thickness of shim I should add if running 30%?

Mike, I have a Orion CRF, and two friends here have a Peak CRF.
They look like the same!

Guys, can some one answer this:
The Team Orion CNC Back Plate, Team Orion CNC Combustion Chamber and Team Orion CNC Big Carburator Inlet can be used in the Original, the first release Orion CRF ? (specially the inlet).
That inlet is race legal ? (IFMAR)

After a few minutes of driving, the car should idle quite nicely. Try resetting all your needles to the factory settings, try adjusting your idle using the Bobby Watson method (click here) and then retune your HSN.

If you have one of the newer CRFs, the factory settings are posted here, otherwise, check the manual.

Hope this helps.

Those parts will fit on the original CRF. I have no idea if it is IFMAR race legal or not.

The inlet is legal, Josh used it at the worlds. It still tapers down to 5.5mm which is the requirement.

With all the changes to the engine, it would be nice to see a new dyno graph.

Janis with CRF technology, the piston goes through the cylinder even when new. You can take a new piston and liner and insert the piston from the top.

I think that if it's flaming out when warm it means that you have an air leak that only appears when the engine is warm. Check the backplate o-ring.
