Drama at the worlds!

Quoted below from the serpent website:

Josh Cyrul allowed to race?
Josh Cyrul is definitely having a hard time today. There has been a protest on his Orion enginges yesterday and he is waiting for a final decision of the race direction today. The protest is about the slots in the bottom of the sleeve. The technical direction has to decide if these are additional holes or not.

--------------------------------
I found this on this link
Hope it all works out ok. Good to see the other teams waited until Josh got there to protest.

The engine was allowed to compete in the European championships without a problem so we'll wait and see the outcome of this little episode.

The engine was also ROAR allowed and won the ROAR open national in 2006

I doubt the slots will be an issue, as these are neither intake or exhaust ports. It seems that some people have nothing better to do than cause trouble. What a bunch of jerks.

Hopefully one of the team guys has an answer. Heellllp, as this engine is a missle and do not want to ruin it. Also my last engine left

Thanks
Charlie,

Have you gotten any assistance on this issue? If not, it would be best for your to call Team Orion directly. They will advise you what to do or they'll ask you to send the engine to them.

I hope things workout for you. Please let us the end result, so we can all get smart.

Yeah, they're just mad their engine can't be as fast as the CRF. If they got their ass handed to them they have no choice but to accept it.

Guys, matter of face I called today. Seems there is some trick to it. Their main mechanic was not there and the next in line wasn't quite sure how to explain it to me, so they asked if they could call be back on monday. I did however get the sleeve back in by heating it up and tapping it back down. I would think since they have other info in the manual, and this too is something different about the engine, they would have put something in it or at least a caution. Hope nothing is wrong with it now. I will find out tomorrow when I test. Have another race this sunday. Last week was a bust with all types off mechanical failures. Wanted to show this baby off

Everyone's engine documentation is really poor, so I'm not too surprised. Hopefully all is well. Good luck this weekend.

I'm assuming that the engine thing is sorted out since Josh is running the practice again today?

There is internet access at the track so it would be nice for one of the reps to post a quick update on what's going on

Check the thread of the 200mm IFMAR worlds, al info you want is there.....

But, from the MYTSN site:

Josh Cyrul – no final decision yet
We promised to keep you informed regarding the protest on the engines of Josh Cyrul. Until now no official decision has been taken. This only can be done until the race officially started and one of the team managers submits an official protest. The race direction will discuss the issue then and will make a final decision. So this story has to be continued…

Default UPdate

I went out yesterday to try and get the engine dialed back in. I tried for a couple of hrs to no avail. I richened it up and tried to get the speed back, but every time I get it to where it was speed wise, it would overheat at the end of the tank. I richened it back up and lost the speed again. Another thing is that when I richen it up, or when the car is running fast, then I let it sit for a few seconds, the engine hardly does anything ( heavy delay) then it takes off. None of this happened, till last week race. I missed todays race, cause I didn't want to fight it all day. Any suggestions? I will be calling team orion tomorrow, maybe ship it back to them or maybe Mr Cyrul can take a look at it if he has the time.
Thanks

What are your needles set at? What % fuel and plug? Sounds like your LSN is set to rich and HSN too lean. Are you adjusting both needles at the same time or one at a time? What type of track are you running on?
