No royalties needed - If it works and they have a good experience then that means more people racing, more people racing = more fun and competition!! I think that's enough of a royalty there in itself!! I guess I'll have to test a bit and do a new REV break-in procedure to get the most from this engine!!!
Josh, I did not get a chance to try the orion shoe at the nats, but plan to try it with Brian at the RC pro series race in 2 weeks.

Mike.

Please do, because You already see the amount of question raising, it will only clarify things for this engine....
I understand that it has NO piston/liner binding when new, so break in is only required for the conrod and bearings?

But when you post a break-in procedure, I will forward it to some Dutch forums.......

Josh: What shoe were you running? I guess the CRF.

Im guessing maybe with all the power the yellow's will work better as they get 2-3 times more run time out of them then? Maybe the motor needs some slip otherwise the car would be loosing traction?

With 5 basic players not playing, I think they did a good job, and.......
we now made it possible for Germany to get to the final before we meet eachother...

Ran the wasp for the first time today and it went well. I had to incease the gearing and loosen the clutch as the engine had so much torque. The engine was reving out on the straight but the top speed was way more than I have had before.

I also ran the Murnan LL3 and the wasp had the edge

So, is there anywhere that actually has the motors and clutch and plugs in stock?

The motor seems fast (saw it at the Nats) but I would hold off on getting one to wait and see how long they last.

Josh, what was your setting for the CRF Kyosho clutch ? And how was the feeling vs the original RRR clutch ?

Thanks and congratulation for your victory !

barclayrc:

CRF Weight - 2 set-screws
CRF Spring - Tightened to 1.6mm
CRF Shoe - .5-.6mm gap

If you are doing a straight pull off of a hairpin corner, there isn't much difference between to stock Kyosho and the CRF clutch. There is a big difference though any where that you are on-throttle going through a casousel and/or shifting into 2nd while turning (car/clutch/engine are loaded). The CRF clutch simply has more power/pull through those sections and into 2nd gear.

Hello, I have a problem with the CRF engine. I use gasoline with 16% Nitro and have already 2/10 seal removed, nevertheless need the engine approx.. 10 rounds on track by itself freely to run. The engine switches before not times in the 2. Course. After approx. 1o the engine catches and runs rounds freely to turn off on then with 120 Celsius. What do I have to change around to turn off?

Hallo Langer,

das ist leider nicht sehr verstaendlich. Was wolltest du denn wissen, dann uebersetze ich"s fuer dich.

Was ich verstanden habe ist glaube ich, dass der Motor 10 Runden braucht bis er warm ist und dann gut laeuft, aber am Ende 120Grad hat, ist das richtig?

Schreib"s als PM
