Default compression

Hi,
I've had a nitro car for just over a year now and am still learning about it. How do you measure engine compression, and how do you know if the compression is good enough ?

Proper way: Buy piston compression tool to measure the compression.

Easy way: open the sleeve and insert the piston, if the piston can go through the sleeve it means replace immediately. If if almost to the top dead center, it means the same thing.

to know if the engine is still good ? there are several ways to check if it Idles pretty good and it doesn't overheat your best bet is the engine is still good but if after running it for about 10 to 15 minutes it shuts off and hard starting that is a sign of a weak engine and try spinning the flywheel after it shuts off if you feel little or no resistance then it's gone
