Default did i stuff my piston ?

hey guys
just wanted to ask a question..

i was putting my engine back together after cleaning it and as i pushed down the piston sleeve i kind of just lightly crushed the top edge of the piston

i took the piston out and it has a small mark on either side of the top edge where the cylinder hit. i used a smooth sand paper to rub off the burr from either side..

should this be ok ?

If it fits good in the sleeve and you didn't deform the piston, it should be fine. I would keep an eye on it just in case. I have seen some torn-up pistons in engines that still run, but that doesn't make it right.
