Default CARLSEN MODIFIED MOTORS

Figured it was about time this thread was way over due
I been using Carlsen Modified motors for over 3 years.
Just finished testing out his New OS TZ 12 3port turbo @ the Kissimee race track for the 2006 Kyosho cup.
Motor was ballastic one of the fastest motors I have used.
Provide 5.30 minutes runtime @ 225 degrees with potential to get 6 minutes easily with the proper Temp.
Carb settings on this motor are very smooth no tuning issues, perfect holding idle every run for this 2 day event with 5 qualifiers
Ballastic Bottom end
Tremendous Torque
Most of all good price although I was testing it. I would'nt mind if I had 2 pay for it @ $299 You really getting your money's worth
Anyone else tried any carlsen modified Motors he has been around for a while.
Check out www.brooklynhobbies.com for Carlsen motors or accessories

so 710baby how do you feel about the carlsen engine compared to the rest of the engine's that are out there on the market. what do you compare it to in terms of power and which engine base does carlsen think is the best for making power and last the longest under race conditions.

I think at this moment with a lot of racers looking for a really good modified motor @ a fair price the Carlsen OS hit it right on the button.
Comparing the motor to my last one the NSR carlsen both have really good torque & awesome bottom end the OS powerband has an edge geared 17/23 61/56 RRR @ Kissimee track the motor spooled up faster than the Nsr & harder & on the carb quality. Consistent holding on it's tuning best of all runtime 5 1/2 @ 225 0n a 10 minute qualifier so it depends if you want to push it @ a higher temp to get more runtime.
Today I went up to 240 temp but dnf my last 2 qualifier so runtime could not be determined the motor feels better & faster it's in the same league with the top 3 hot motors in the market.

For those that Pm me on / please post them here it is much easier to respond.
as for recommened plugs to use the P6 will give you the most power from the motor.
The difference of using either P6 or P7 will determine on the temp of the day & don't forget if you go from a P6 to a P7 you will be on the rich side so you will have to lean it out 5 minutes turn the motor temp drops big just from a plug change.
I got the temp up to 265 on a P6 then went to a P7 later in the day without tuning the motor temp was coming in close to 240 after a 3 minute hot lap.
So far the motor feels really good after putting in a total of 10 qualifiers & 2 mains still has a lot of Pinch.
