Traxxas 4-Tec break in

So, I reacently bought a *broken in* 4-Tec off of Ebay. The guy that i bought it off of lives in Virginia. So, I now have to retune it because I live in Texas. I was reading this but got lost, could someone re-simplify this for me.
And would I have to re-break in the engine.
