Axial Engines thread

Hello, I just wanted to start a thread where people could ask questions and recieve answers about our new line of engines.

Also I would like to announce that the new Axial .12 spec I RR engine achieved 3rd best qualifier and an outstanding 2nd place finish in the expert touring A-main during it's first outing at the Florida Winternats this month.

Congratulations Chris Tosolini!! Outstanding performance!!

Soloartist 702, I am sorry but I cannot disclose prices on the forum, however, the .12 Spec I RR engine details (specs and cost) will be posted to our website soon as we are still finalizing design details and completing the prototyping process now.

Also the .12 Spec I RR engine that Chris Tosolini used at the winternats was completely stock, unmodified engine. (3 port config. no turbo scoop on crank, no knife edging of the flyweights, no special sleeve porting etc. We ran it just as it would come out of the box, We did do some head shimming though to adjust for fuel, pipe, and conditions) This engine is extremely powerfull without modifications!

Surge, Thanks alot! We weren't to prepared for this race as we recieved our prototypes the day before the race, and never had a chance to properly break them in!

Stefan, Yes, our engines will be available in Europe soon. The .28 and .32 engines will be available through Robitronics, and the .12 Spec I RR will be available within a few months also.

ProudSavageOwner, Yes our engines will be available in Australia within the next few weeks or so. They will be distributed through Hobby Headquarters. The .12 Spec I RR should be released in Australia in 3 months or so.

Thanks for the interest guys, I will be online to help in any way I can to support our new line of engines!

Cheers!

I'm glad to see a manufacturer that says the engines are fast without mods instead of telling people that the extra work (and the extra US$100) makes more power.......... ;)

Axial Racing,

I saw you guys testing at Crystal Park not too long ago. I was impressed with Chris's car. It seemed to hold it's own throughout the entire powerband.
You have my thumbs up.

Good luck :D

SalvadoriRacing, We have dynotested this engine extensively with all possible configurations to the engine internals, and have found that most of the things people do to 'mod' their engines is more visual than functional.

Glitch44, Thanks for the compliment! We have been working hard to make sure the .12 Spec 1 RR engine is top notch before it's release. We have made a bunch of improvements even from the Winternats, and hope to have .12 engines available in the mid May.

again i'm very happy to read such a thing like this from a manufacturer..... ;)

SUNA 04-03-2006 11:28 PM

The Axial .32 and Surefire .32 are identical motors...except the head color.

I have the Axial .28 in my Hyper One Seven. Still breaking it in. Will leave feedback when I can.

I have the SF .32 ready to go into my LST2. Clutch shoes are back ordered right now. :(

Who makes the Axial? HoBao? King Star? Toki?

SUNA 04-11-2006 01:53 PM

I think it's King Star who makes the K4.6, SF.32, and Axial.
