Default Futaba SBS-01t heat sensor

Anyone use this heat sensor to monitor their engine temperature?

I bought one but don't know exactly how/where I should put the sensor on.

In the manual, it says not to let other parts touching the engine except for the actual sensing unit.

Please share you experience.

Thank you.

Just strap it arround the head between the lowest 1st and 2nd rib or just right under the lowest fin in the gap of the head button.

If you have a lowered head design place it between the fins which are on the same height of the head button.

Also be sure the sensor is faced tot the rear of the car so airflow will have less influence.

I tried it on tonight, very convenient.

I will relocate the sensor so it's not affected by the airflow.

The reading is about .5 degree C different from my Raytek temp. gun.
