No one knows yet or has reported, I am still waiting on mine. This is a great alternative to the R2101-R2103 I believe. I run the R2101 (2wd Pan) and R2102 (1/8 IC) and am excited to try this for my son (1/8 IC). I hope soon someone will chime in and give some feedback.

Not sure if the extra money for a new r2103 will benefit me right now. I think the R21 will do fine but curious on performance difference between R2101-2103.
i donít think u can find a 2101 anymore but if u could I Would go with the 2101 with out a question !! And if u canít find one I would buy a 2102 and buy the 2101 piston sleeve and rod set them u can find trust me itís a beast !! And still to the ceramic bearing !!!

I can get a VS rody evo 2 for a good price. I think that might be the best option? What would the performance differences be between Rody vsr01
evo 2 and R2103?

The performance between the VSR01 and VSR02 are the same. The VSR03 has more torque but a little less topspeed.

Man with the Eurospec R21 - i think from OS Speed department, and the R21, who can keep up, lol. Although I wish the OS Speed site was up to date. I wonder if it is same as the R21 Shimo edition???

never mind just seen it all they did was change the openings on the ports on the sleeve and crank to change timing around, by doing that u can change the powerband for more top and less bottom or more bottom less top, but if u look at the specs for all 3 motors the bore and stroke are all the same so the cranks are all the same far as size just the cuts are different and its really the same crank as the 2101 just in the 02 and 03 they used a different dlc coating so the 01 has a different part number.

That is for the 5-port basic engine, not the 7 port euro version

Was able to watch a R21 euro spec in action this weekend. Person finished forth with new motor and car. He had not driven 1/8th scale in over a year. Was still driving sedan so his driving skills were there. I think he will do better at the next race since he is still getting comfortable with a new car. What impressed me was the performance on 16 percent nitro vs 25.

Any one had a chance to run the blue head club racer R21 yet? Thinking it might make a good motor for GT if it's only a 5 port.
