Low-speed too rich?
When I go into a turn too hot and start to powerslide, I let off the throttle and the car dies. Does this mean my low-speed needle is too rich? Dying on deceleration is supposed to be an indicator of this, but I'm a rookie, and sstupid, so I was just checking. Thanks.
I need to quit sniffing the nitro. |

check the idle set screw , it might be set too low
|
your idle screw is set too low i recommend you turn it in 1/8 of a turn untill it stops

turn idle up! how much fuel has run thru the engine? fresh engines dont like to idle low!!! :tire:

low speed to lean
what r the signs to whatch out for?

Ok, check that when you release the throttle, it closes completely. And that when you apply brake the throttle doesnt close any further. After you have done this, you can go and set your idle screw.
If when you start your car, and the car wheel's begin to move without any apply of the throttle, this means you need to either re-grease your thrust bearing or changed it because its damaged. You should check the clutch: the ball bearings, thrust bearing and the setting. You should bench set the low-speed needle and idle needle and use Josh Cyrul's method (like AndyT already posted). Check your glow plug, sometimes worn out glow plugs will make the engine stay turned on but die when you let go of the power. |
