Just a reminder...

NO 1/5 Scale at TPR

Someone ran one this week and the track crew would like to ask folks not to run 1/5 scale on the 1/8 and 1/10 scale track.

Thank you

Exclamation New Race Times!!!

NEW RACE TIMES!!!!
Alright Racers, Mother Nature has laid down the guantlet with the heat this Summer!

We want everyone to be safe with no heat strokes or any other afflictions due to racing...sooooo

Effective Immediately.....

ALL CLUB RACES WILL BEGIN AT 7:00PM Beginning THIS WEEKEND, JUNE 25th

ALL POINTS RACES WILL BEGIN AT 6:00PM

This will make the races end later into the evening, but much safer and should be a LOT more fun racing in the dark. We will adjust times again when the heat lets up later on around September or after if necessary.

Please spread the word!

Thank you,

ONC

110 Degrees, What else ya got!
Well 110 degree weather didn't stop almost 50 entries from attending our July Points race this last Saturday....

But it did kill one laptop, printer and made for another marathon points race. The ONC truly appreciates the racing spirit of the racers that have endured our growing pains. It won't be long and the issues like this will be behind us...

The AIR CONDITIONED scoring booth will be in place very soon and will help to prevent any mishaps like this in the very near future. We are working on scheduling now for the framing crew to move forward with the driver's stand extension now. The goal is to have it completed this week, or next at the latest.

The RACE RESULTS will be posted as soon as possible for this last race.

Just to clear up a quick item...

We WILL BE RACING THIS WEEKEND, JULY 16th, HEATS START AT 7:00PM

There was some confusion about this on Saturday....there is a group of our regular racers heading to the Futaba-O.S. Engines Challenge in Saint Louis this weekend, but the normal race schedule HERE AT TAYLOR PARK will continue.

We will be raising funds for a dirt purchase as SOON as the driver's stand is completed. We hope to raise 1000.00 from the racers, and match that from the club funds for approximately 20 loads of fresh dirt. We are planning on widening the track by two to three lanes. There should be plenty of dirt for elevation changes in addition to bowl turns etc etc.

PLEASE mark you calendars for JULY 21st track building planning meeting at LOUIE'S in Yukon...(location subject to change)

Finally, our thoughts and prayers are with Chris Rhoda and his family this week. Someone posted that he had been admitted to the hospital. We pray for a full and speedy recovery.

What class should I set up my SC10 4x4 to run in? I'm about to start ordering parts, and I was wondering what the largest SC 4x4 class is. I'll probablly be running in Enid over the winter too, so I'll need to find out what's popular up there too.

Open 10th scale Sct is where the 4x4's run. And all indications are Enid is closed.

Default All indications?

I don't agree, I found one positve indicator. He's still paying the phone bill, I called the track and the phone hasn't been disconnected. His cell phone is also listed on the website, but it was during the day, and I didn't want to bother him at work. I can call him this evening on his cell if you guys want me to make shure he's still going to be racing this winter.

Believe what you want. But I would call if you think about heading up there and make sure they are open before you spend the gas money.
