GREAT Photos courtesy of Gary Pershall...Thank You Sir!

SPECIAL THANK YOU! to Scott, Samantha and Matt for making the trip from Amarillo for our First Official Race this Memorial Day Weekend. Not only did they come and race with us, they brought all the equipment to run a race AND called the races for us! Can't thank you enough. We really appreciated the generousity for fellow racers and a new track.

What a HOT event! On and off the track. Thanks again to everyone that made the race a fun event, and congrats to all the winners!

No prob. I was going to say thanks to the Amarillo guys but the longer I stood there the worse I felt. I got way too hot.

As quickly as the moisture dried up, I wonder if we should not try sweeping the track and maybe water the edges to keep the dust down.

As for the main time for electric 8th, I don't know how long I could go, I got the esc knocked out of the car at about the 3 minute mark.

We can try that Billy, we are always open to suggestion

One thing is for sure, we know it will groove as some parts of the track were taking rubber last week

We can adjust the length of the mains as we move along too.

Also, we'll be addressing the start of the mains too. We will goto more of a grid or down and quiet like Enid for Nitro mains this week

I would like to direct you to our website at www.oklahomanitroclub.com

James Wilson has done a great job on completing the website.

It is now funcional and updated with "most" of our information.

We will frequently update the website as this will be our primary source of information for what's happening at the track as of NOW.

Race results, pictures, racing/practice calendar, our sponsors, club information, race entry fees and roar membership is all there...

See you at the track

I just wanted to post that the Race Director last week was one of the best I have ever witnessed. Everything ran smooth and all racers had plenty of time to work on needed issues and the race calling was nothing short of spectacular!!!!

Default Update

Please read this very important update for the ONC

NO RACES THIS WEEKEND DUE TO THE JULY 4th HOLIDAY!

We will be changing our race program times at our next scheduled race
July 10th

New times are:
Gates Open 3:00pm
Heat Races Start at 5:00pm
Heats/Mains will finished by dark

Unfortunately, we can't make the schedule perfect for everyone..we are simply trying to beat the heat right now.

We are ordering our roof today and should have it by the first of next week. We'll install it NEXT THURSDAY on July 8th at 5:30, please be ready to help.

We are also working on locating and installing lights so that we can begin night racing as soon as possible.

Finally, we have located and will be working on adding some more dirt. Our cost is 25.00/load plus fuel for delivery. We would like to plan a major work/haul day as soon as the guys get back from the Futaba race (7-10). We will announce these plans as they come together.

Obviously, both of these major items cost money. If you or anyone you know would like to help the track development with money or supplying time, equipment or labor...please let us know as soon as possible. We will earmark any funds contributed specifically for these purposes to be used only for these projects.

PS, the ONC annual dues are now prorated to 50.00 for the remainder of the year for anyone that's been thinking about joining

Have a GREAT DAY!

Just a quick update on Taylor Park RC Raceway...

we have had a lot of great racing over the past few weeks on our new layout

New track size is 100x140, we cut the bigger jumps out for electric short-course class and it has worked really well

We are growing and seeing some new faces at the track and would like to see you there too.

We will be CLOSED for the holiday weekend, Sept 4th and RE-OPEN SEPT 11th at our NEW RACE TIMES!!!

Practice at 1pm, RACES START AT 3PM until we get our lights installed...hopefully within a month or so, then we'll shift back to racing at night

Check out the website for all the latest NEWS, PHOTOS, and RACE RESULTS
