Default Why aren't there anymore tracks in ohio

Im sick of seeing off road tracks pop-up every where. Why is on road both oval and road course on a decline. Why aren't more people looking at this hobby?

I've never tried on road because of the cost. The rumor of going through 2 - 3 sets of tires on a race day. Never done it so I'm not sure, it's just my story.

Don't know but there is a outdoor and a indoor onroad track in Cincinnati. I used to run onroad but it got too boring. Plus the track was members only. Huge turnoff for me. I left the hobby in 2003 because there wasn't any off-road tracks that I could find. Now there are several so I bought a few cars and here I am in this again

I've been racing off road nitro since I started. I've always been interested in on road but with any form of racing money usually wins. I'm thinking about trying some nitro dirt oval this year.

Check it out..i will say you will see more carpet ovals then anything else right now. You have RMR in Cincinnati, access hobbies here in Springfield,Ohio. Access is more pan car friendly.

There's an asphalt track at the Hamilton co fairgrounds. Ran by tsrcar. They used to have a awesome track at joice park. They even held the 2003 ifmar races there. Not sure what happened but they moved and the track sits vacant. Of course the park grounds crew dumped a few tons of mulch on it so no one can use it.

Racer, I have checked out rmr and thought it was very cool but again out of my range and not my cup of tea. I see you are talking about track surfaces because you are an electric racer. I'm trying to find different ways to run nitro. If they would let me, I'll bring my nitro touring car down and turn some laps. Lol

They had a fire once upon a time, and apparently vandalism was bad at the track, along with it deteriorating. So they moved

Joice park is in a flood zone....lol....so its gone. I hate nitro its too much to race 1/8 on road. Will thats the only class i would run. Also no i will not run the pan car class its pointless to me!
