Default Os long stroke crank with big bore sleeve

Has anyone done this before? I currently just finished building a speed xzb 2 long stroke bottom end with my os speed vzb top end. So it'll give me the long stroke with the big bore setup I'm curious to see what it'll run like and if anyone else has done this. I love my vzb speed and kept it as is. This will be a test engine to see power output. For the technically inclined out there I'm running a novarossi r7 rod as it's .5mm shorter to give me the correct deck height. So far it's idling on the start box breaking in but tomorrow I give it the juice

Interesting idea for sure, however, the port timings are gonna be all wack. For the same compression make sure the r7 rod is the same length as the xzb connecting rod.

Yep same length, and it fired right up and idled nicely, I'll try it tomorrow and post an update

Hi,
once I put an old Novarossi SBK short stroke sleeve+piston into a GO 5-port. It fit nicely. The port timing I copied from the original sleeve. Well, it did run quite well in Truggy, I even used it for a big race. Strong down low with good top end.
I like building Frankenstein engines.

All I can say is wow. Still super tight pinch but started leaning her out and even running 205 it was pulling hard. Crazy torque and top end was pulling even that rich. Seems like it'll run on whatever tune much easier but I really can't wait for it to work in and loosen up

Thing is a screamer. I have the os 2050 pipe on it but Thursday I go to the track I'll throw on the 2060. But man it pulls hard from down low and has a top just like the original! Can't wait to see it on the track it may be just too reficukous and if that's the case I'll throw my speed back in it
