Hi Friends,

I had a chance to look the inside of the new B2102 together with Miura San. The Piston and Sleeve is the same as the B2101. But the Crankshaft is different and the Carburetor is different. Crankshaft has a smaller hole and the Carburetor is the same as the Spec III, the 6.5mm hole.

And also the Alien Head Cooling Head.. But the Japanese OS Guys mentioned that they will release 2 choices, the new Low Head or Regular Head.

Cheers..

It wouldn't have any overheating issues as it's probably very cold at Padova right now.

Well Ty won Padova, but guess it really may not have been a testament to the motor and the LCG head. "No High Temp - No Problem"

Common sense will be the reason we will never see this engine! or it will get discontinued after too many people destroy them. All because common sense. Ty using it in Vegas at the world's changing heads, common sense should have said stick with the tried n true since it's hot. Now it has a name, some say good some say it won't ever work. All this talk, its simple this engine is made for the cold weather months. Not the hot. But too many ppl will get them n attempt to run it in super hot conditions n melt them down.i tell you what, if I was os i would release them now while its cold.

One simple question: whats wrong with B2101? Why OS decided to make B2102 so soon compared to spec2 lifecycle?

good question, perhaps sales where not quite up to expectation.

imo the b2101 is an excellent buggy engine, smooth delivery yet more then enough grunt.

+1, i see nothing wrong with the B2101, what more can one need, LCG is a load of BS, remember when Hobao and Tamiya offered tilted motor mounts. I race 1:8 on-road too and have never felt like i needed a LCG head on any such chassis.

Hello Motorman007 and Friends,

I was in the race together with Hara San. He was changing to His 2101 because He suspected the Bearing on His 2102 was not good anymore.

I had a chance to talk about a lot of things and He mentioned that B2102 is surely better than 2101. The Temperature is actually no Problem, at least on that race.

Cheers..

Don't forget that B2101 already has LCG head compared to spec2, or i.e. Picco 5TR (which i have and can directly compare). I highly doubt that any driver on earth can notice real difference btw 2101 and 2102 heads in terms of behavior on track, not koolaid/audiophile 'sixth sense'
