Rody, wanted to ask, have you tried different clutches at the time? I am running the standard Mugen 4 Shoe with standard Mugen Flywheel, with my Speed Spec II.

Personally I have not tried any off-road clutches, I leave this up to the racers who use my engine to choose the one which they like the best and reliable for their use.
There are quite some clutches out there and it also depends a lot of the combination of clutch used with the car brand.
I think the today's clutches supplied with the actual competition buggies are very good.
I think in your case first try the clutch as is and then change something if needed.

So what is the difference in material in this crank then the one in the regular Os vzb and xzb cranks?Those thing die to way to fast,3 to 4 gal and they are oval...This engine seem to be a very expensive regular .21 xzb...

They are not that expensive, rather a bargain. And I have a XZB with over 5 gallons through it and the Crankpin looks great. Also Rodys motor is not based on the XZB, might have the same case but thats it.

Regular XZ-B v II is 319 from amain so 80 dollars less

And at 397 on Amain thats still.almost 100 dollars less than a Speed Spec III which is similar to what this is based on.

Still seems like a great deal.

For the materials I rely on the quality of OS manufacturing, I have made the design of the crankshaft and composition of the internal parts of the engine.

As I already stated before the 2 main reasons for the non DLC treatment.
1) The DLC treatment makes the crankshaft itself a little more flexible(softer). This will make the engine a little less direct on the throttle in the low rpm area.
The quality of the non DLC crankshafts in the OS production are excellent and the big-end holds up very well, of course not as long as the DLC crankshaft but for me enough to pass 2 piston/liner sets.
2) Because the crankshaft of the VSB01 is an unique design in the OS production this has made my price to obtain this crankshaft in my engine quite an important factor.

Rody, do you build the motors from the case up, or do you start with a prebuilt motor, and then add the VS spec parts?

These are pré-built engines, I assemble the rest of the engine by adding the specific parts which are made here in Europe.
This is also an occasion for me to make a final check of each individual engine before they go into their box.
