Novarossi Pipe help

Hey guys , just bought my first Novarossi Roma .25 motor and pipe / manifold. I have a buddy who just saw what i bought and he told me the Manifold 41033 is too short. Is this true , i cant use this anyway?

What do these manifold do and should i return this one and buy a different one. This is going to go on a losi 3.0 Truggy.

This is my first NITRO.

Any input would be great!! :tire:

Thank you

The best Novarossi header/pipe combo for use in truggy was recommended to me by Monty Houston. He suggested the 41005 header with 9853 pipe. I use this combo in my Tekno truggy and it rips with lots of low end grunt and still good top end.

The Roma is a bit different.

It has plenty of torque so you can dial it back a bit.

41033 manifold with 9901 or 2096 pipe works well.

Nothing wrong with 41033. Use what you have, from my experience Roma runs well on any Novarossi pipes. The only problem i had was too much power lol. I think balance was the best with 41021 /9856 pipe with 7mm. Got about 6-7 minutes on that setup. It was damn crazy on 41001/9886 with 9mm insert. Run time was about 5 minutes. Lastly i tried 41021/9901 with 6.5 insert. Got little over 7 minutes. With this setup power was down and got about 7-8 minutes but i was restricting too much there was really no point of running the roma. But you gotta try the 41001/9886 pipe on the roma just for kicks and giggles.

Oh the dynamite 086 worked pretty good too. It ran slightly hotter for some reason but it was pretty good extracting power from the roma. If i didnt have 41001/9886 i would run 086 all day.

I'm on the track racing this. Would my setup still be OK. Also I'm curious about 41001/9886 setup for track racing.

Well for club racing its fine as long as frequent pit stops dont bother you. For big major races you need race legal pipes.

What am i looking for RACE legal pipe?:tire:

Just use 9901/41021 . Usually works for all nova engines.
Otherwise find a 3 chamber efra legal pipes.

For a Roma 9853/41001 , use a 8mm insert... remove 0.1-0.2 mm worth of head shim, convert carb to short needle...

if you want more runtime send the engine to me to be modified as I get excellent runtime with my version...

Interesting for me to read so many people had runtime issues with the Roma 25, as over the years I have modified quite a few of these and always found them to be exceptionally good on fuel, many times nearly matching most of the .21's.. When I see guys saying they can't get past 6 minutes I have to think there is something wrong with the tune or the setup of the engine..
