I would think that a ceramic bearing would be merely a heat resistant thing!

Believe me with all I have seen on tolerances and fooling customers by giving them different timings and/or other piston material it is hard to say that 2 engines -one ceramics and one steel- are exactly the same to give a reliable test.

Right, the only baseline I personally have to go on is when I change from a steel to ceramic in the same engine that I've run for some time and know real well.

I noticed my Beat 5 became a lot more aggressive. So did my Elite 5 and I just recently did the bearings in my OS XZB and that car has a lot more of everything then before. My Paloma 7 port was the only one that didn't really show much more of anything when I upgraded the bearing but it became a real beast when I changed the pipe from a JP4 to a 9901/41021.

Those are all main bearing changes though with my Beat 5 being both were changed to ceramic.

For off road, I don't believe there could be any real test for what difference can be found changing the front.
