I always use a practice motor, so you will have a fresh motor on race days. Re-pinch and rebuild a practice motor. My race motors are never way off on their tune.. This is only if you can afford to have multiple motors. Also depends on your level of racing. 2 motors is good for the average racer,race motor and a good backup(practice motor)
