Default Top Elite 5 engine

Hi guys, I am after some information for some friends in Vietnam on the Elite 5 engine made by Novarossi. The specs online don't show much, what are the internals like? Is this engine similar to a P5 or something different? I know it is a cheap engine and they are not expecting to win the worlds with it, but how good is it? I heard it was pretty good for the price, again this is for some friends that don't speak English so telling me to get an OS or something is not what I am looking for. I love my fusions but they found these cheap engines and are asking

I have never seen the insides of one, but I have raced against them and they hold their own. Nothing insane but a good little power plant.

Its a P5 with a Team piston and the same crank that came in a Plus 4T..its like a P5 crank but with a bigger bore and a little higher intake duration.... So consider the Elite 5 to be like a factory hopped up P5.. Hell of a deal for such a nice little engine !

its a p5 with the domed team piston, great engine for the price, as are all the cheaper novas.(neal beat me too it)
maximo/neal sells a tuned version for a just few bucks more than you would pay from anyone that isnt novarossidirect.
I love the fact nova has an extreme budget line($100-120), a budget line(150-200) a mid range line(200-250) and a hi end line(250+). from a buisness perspective this is insanely smart, a few retoolings of the old molds and they are modern engines. since those molds have paid for themselves over and over again the profit from them can be funneled into new tech.
end extremely pro novarossi rant.

I actually just finished modifying an Elite 5 and Paloma limited for another member. I will post pictures later tonight.

I have modified several of the Elite 5 engines. They are fantastic engines for the money. A customer of mine is running a modified one in his truggy. The power is plentiful and millage is good.

Just got a race tune on one I got off here.drilled and filled cranked.this is a solid engine, once she's running you don't feel like you drive a budget engine.I had a misque in pit lane and couldn't get fuel till around 830 9 min.didn't run out and this thing still has a tad of mechanical pinch.once she loosens up a bit I'm sure it's going to be an awesome mill.

Yeah it's an awesome engine. They basically took a classic like the p5xlt and made it even better. I had mine out at the track for practice today in my mbx7t with 9853/41031 pipe combo and it ran like a champ. I'm really liking the conical header a lot more than the standard 41021 so far. Good controllable power all the way from the bottom to top end.

Also, once it's broken in take the copper shim out and replace it with a .10mm and it will really come to life. I did not think it would make that much of a difference but I was surprised. It's noticeably much more crisp on the low end.

I have one modified by Murnan Modified and I get 10 minutes paired with a 9901 and 41021 manifold. Also, I have six gallons on it and it is still running fine. 30% Murnan Modified VP fuel. It's a great engine for the price.
