Isn't the 2058 one of the better 3 chamber pipes? What about the 9901? I thought I remember you saying the 9901 makes decent power with the short square headers 41032, 410001, etc...

Yes ...2058 is a good pipe that works well on almost any engine...and definitely the 9901 gets down really good on the 41001 manifold...Still back to back to back 9901/41001 vs 9853/41001 you can tell a noticeable performance advantage to the 9853

Been a long while since I had one of those, but now that you mention it I am going to have to track one down and do some testing with it

Neal,

I'm running a Speed Spec II in a buggy and I'm trying to tame the engine down and shift the powerband more towards the top-end. I'm going to add at least 1 copper shim as you suggested before but what do you think about running the shorter 2060 header on the 2090 pipe?

that might work, probably worth a try... also you could slow down your servo speed and use some negaitive expo on the throttle curve..also go to a softer type of clutch

Default You the man!

Neal thanks for the conversation.

If you haven't got your nitro engine yet, call TNS and get with the program.

Your going to love the R7R...just be sure to run cooler glowplugs, or add 0.1 mm to the head clearance ..there is a fine balance between the ideal head shimming and the perfect glowplug temp....

Default RCC MC3 ceramic

I have a killer price on the modified RC Concept MC3 ceramic combo with either the 2099 or the 2046.... Engine is extremely well featured and has crazy good performance quite similar to a XZB Speed.....PM me for details ! priced lower then you would expect for such a fancy little engine ! Swiss ceramic bearing, double tungsten and silicone filled crank , lapped piston , modifications done to the piston, case and crankshaft...
