Default Two things I'm Surprised aren't in the industry yet

Its 2015 and there is two things I'm really surprised we haven't seen in the nitro side of the hobby yet.

#1 CNC billet nitro engine blocks

#2 Stainless pipes/manifolds (have seen for boats)

Maybe too much of my full size racing is trickling down to RC but I've thought we would see both these by now.

Why use heavy stainless when aluminium is #1 more plentiful, and #2 much lighter?

Billet blocks would be sick - but the cost would be enormous without much benefit.

I would love to see a triple or 4 bearing clutch bell.

I'd like to see a $200 OS Speed...

(The way the dynamics of the hobby work though, there are more people waiting to see - and buy - an $800 Speed... )

That's where I'm getting at, stainless exhaust looks so bitchin on full scale cars it would be awesome on a 1/8 buggy!

Aluminum is also going to dissipate heat much more efficiently than stainless would. They use aluminum for more reasons than just being cheaper. Better heat dissipation, easier to machine, easier to cast, and yeah its also cheaper.
