Is there a source to just buy the right type of Orings for all areas of the carb to crankcase, back cover, needle adjustment areas?

Instead of the actual part numbers for the engine manufacturer. I am sure there is a way to buy a few more quantities for better price and that there is commonality between many engines?

Perhaps they are specified by diameter and thickness?

I have a Rex PR21P5/NX.

You are going to have to do a lot of research on that one. What you will need is the ID and OD of the ring plus thickness and type of material. Then you are going to have to contact the manufacturers find out what they carry in said sizes that is compatible with the chemical and oil packages of you brand fuel.

Seems like a lot of work to save a couple bucks. Let the engineers that work at the engine companies do all that. That's what they are paid to do. Plus, you shouldn't need to replace the O-rings that often anyway:weird:

Yeah, I think I will buy some from Amain, they have all the orings for the whole motor and carb.

The P5 is like 10 years old (Year 2005 production year), ran 2 seasons before I stopped racing in end of 2006. But ran great, still has good compression and all in working order internally as I checked on Friday.

I have a new in pkg P5 as backup that I never had to use due to the P5 being great, so I think I will try the carb off that one first to see if the carb on the first motor has any issue.

They are still making the P5, just an updated version. Oring kits are cheap.
