I just picked up a RC Concept MC5 tuned from Neil (The Nitro Shop) and it performed great this past race weekend. Over 10 min run time, great bottom end power and top end power.

No. By the cheapness of operation - alpha. And I rode it all last season. Now think of something to change. Or may not need.
Choose the engine that I will forgive a wrong adjustment. Well, if something happens, cheap to restore it.

Easiest to tune truggy engine would probably be something like an OS spec II. Kinda pricey though, but if I didn't have a budget I'd probably run one of those.

The Werks b5 is pretty popular for truggy at my local track with the more budget minded. I've never owned a Werks but they seem to be pretty easy to tune.

I think all three port engines must be set up easier five port, or am I mistaken? OS is a great engine, I know. Now this for me is prohibitively expensive.

I'd love a Speed, but they're not just "kinda' pricey"; they're stupidly expensive.

The best deals going I know of for truggy would be the Rex Paloma 21 or Rex Legend 25..n A Werks B5 is always a safe bet. Picco 3TZ, Elite 5 or 8, Alpha A852, etc etc. All good..

There really is NO need to spend 400 bucks on an engine..

You should try to deal with Futaba shop: specII with 2090 gonna be a bit higher than 300usd mark. Check B2101 thread for links and instructions.
