Default Rebuild OS VZB speed spec 2 world or just buy new?

I have a VZB world spec 2 (the black one) that came with a used truggy I bought. This weekend I swapped the LRP I was running for the VZB and wow, that OS can run! I was hesitant to run the OS just because I don't know it's history but now I am inclined to freshen it up. Is it worth replacing the bearings and getting the $100 piston/sleeve/rod combo on eBay or should I just go for the arrow GTR? I am not a big time racer so not looking to drop a ton of money on a full race engine.

Then just replace the bearings 20$,rod 20$, and get the piston/sleeve pinch. So you can try it out and if you like it then buy the piston/sleeve for 80$ all on ebay.

you are better off rebuilding the V-spec than buying a Arrow. The Arrow is decent but it is not an Os. Unless the piston and sleeve are damaged all that is needed is a resize on the sleeve. I have resized a customers Speed as many as 6 times.

The WC II engine was my favorite engine of them all, mileage, power and stable tune. Rebuild it and enjoy.
