Per Red RC, "Ty Tessmann fuelled by VP Powermaster". There goes what little shelf space Byron's still occupies at my LHS. Yeah, even a "Tessman Edition" VP to boot. Well, what the hey? He earned it. Get it while he can. More power to him. Me? I'll stick with Byron's.

Guess it's a case lot order of Byron's from Amain. Only way I'll get it.

Yea Byron's is becoming rare at the 4 stores near me, too. I've had to order it recently as VP is all they had in stock when I called around and I will not run that brand again. I've been looking into other brands and have decided to give Bones a try. $30 for a gallon of it in quart bottles and shipped from Illinois, so the wait to Wisconsin won't be as long and it's about the same price as a gallon of Byron's down at the LHS after shipping. I think I'm going to try the 30% with 8% oil, they make a blend with 10% oil too so I may have to try that as well.

Probably not I can't understand how that stuff commands so much shelf space these days. It seems to work for some but there seems to be just as many others who have had issues running it. I wonder how many bottles sit for over a year at the stores while guys order fuel online after having problems with it.

Have friends that went from Byron to VP. They didn't like VP and are switching back.

Ran Traxxas 20%, Byrons race 25% and VP 25%. Byrans seemed good but always had lite pitting on crank. VP always good film on all parts, nice bronze color to all parts, absolutely no pitting or rust, engines lasts incredibly long. Can't comment on any milage advantages or disadvantages . VP is cheaper, not easily available for me need to buy case have it delivered, but I love the stuff.

Proud VP user !

VP imo is not good , plain and simple , i get to see what happens to engines on all the dfrnt fuels , yes i am somewhat biased to a certain extent but i choose to run byrons because it is THE BEST PERIOD

werks good
nitrotane good
sidewinder not good
bones good
Maxys good blend of castor/synth
nitro pro no verdict but some reviews not the best
odonnell just ok , needs extra oil
punch builds up pretty bad
MaximA good odd oil pkg like old s&w fish oil
what am i forgetting ?

Hmm VP sucks? But you say it's great fuel?

Refresh your memory?

http://www.rctech.net/forum/offroad-...er-fuel-6.html

you guys are talking about the old stuff , the new blue blend is great fuel , i tried it for 12 quarts and thought it was very good fuel , coming from an engine guy
