Have you ever tried boiling a cylinder to test pinch?

I figured if I boiled my cylinders I might be able to simulate a 200 deg head temp, or
at least expand the cylinder enough to allow the piston to move further up the cylinder.

But it didn't.

How hot do you preheat a cylinder during break-in, or before a race?

I noticed my cylinder cooled down really fast, how long will a cylinder stay warm after
the heater has been removed?

thanks

Be aware that normally inside the cilinder it is much hotter causing some extra expansion, also the piston has a highe temp.

Pre-heaten is done with hair dryers, paining removal heatguns, or special RC heater products like competition heat, sure start etc.
