Best Engine Size for Truggy
I just got my first truggy. I was thinking about getting a P5, but then thought a larger size motor would be better. I think the .21 should get better milage, but I am worried about the power or lack thereof. Any ideas?

A Good .21 will have plenty of power for a Truggy... From my experience the .25 do lack run time and in some cases lack high rpm also
Ninja (think they stopped making them?), Os, Alpha , Fusion X7 (Novarossi).. (don't know much about Current RB engines) just to name a few all make .21 engines more than powerful enough for Truggy, I even have a few guys running our .21 X5L less powerful Five port than our X7 engine because they feel the .21 X7 is too powerful in Truggy in many cases
The P5 is a good engine... nice bottom end for Truck

.21 as stated in the previous post is more than enough power!

A good .21 is what most use, but I will say a lot of guys are running the Alpha .23 as it gets insane mileage and its got a bit more punch than a .21.

Thanks for all the help. Our track is kinda small, so I am thinking that the .21 would not be a bad idea. Or am I wrong?

I'm running a werks b6 .21 in my d8t and it has loads of power. Both the tracks I usually run on are kinda small and it does awesome

le best for track Bonito .21 for extrem bashing .28XZ or 528XR

want the fastest truggy around just get yourself a WERKS B5 along with a 2013 pipe..........performance will be of no issue at all.............

I am still learning to be very gentle with the throttle finger to keep the car on the track
I'd say good .21 would be more than enough for a truggy.
The .23 IS more than enough, especially on a small track
