hard to tune, starts up fine and flames out once it gets warm and won't refire until it cools off. A quick way is to roll the fly wheel over and see how much compression is there. if it is easy and no resistance then it is time. Also you could get it squeezed. It's a cheaper alternative to rebuilding or getting a new motor.

It is not cost effective to rebuild most motors it usaully costs almost as much as a new motor and mosts cranks wear out and if u have to replace that than buy a new motor

Default Pinch

It's sometimes hard to tell the by checking the compression . I had a p5 that seemed to have good compression but would flame at top speed and got hard to tune. I pinched it and it runs good now.

I would recommend rebuilding engines that have dlc coated cranks only, maybe novarossi engines too but engines like jammin (picco based) u should just replace. That crank won't last 10 gallons and 2 brand new sleeves lasts atleast 12 gallons minimum if treated right so the crank will go. My opinion would be a pinch and save your money for another engine. Also that engine has booku power which is even harder on the crank so again your better off just looking into buying another engine.

Almost all motors will need a pinch before the crank and rod are worn. It really depends on how it was taken care of but 95% of the motors I get are worth rebuilding. If someone sends me a motor that is not worth rebuilding I do not charge them anything so your really not out anything.
