just search FX K301 exploded view and FX k302 exploded view in google. I currently have the K301 and absolutely love it. I’ve seen the K302 run but have never driven one.

I believe the difference in the 18 (K301-K302) is the 301 has the long needle carb and tall head.. The 302 has short needle carb and short head.. It is my understanding from what I've heard the engines will now have a balanced crankshaft. I have the 302 and love it.. I'm waiting to purchase another one. Just my guess but I bet they will both have the same carb this time, or you could do like me and just use the J21 carb. These engines were already great, now with the new crank they will be even better..

correct the new K301EC and k302.1 will both have balanced crankshafts. The exploded view of the k301ec also has a different piston and sleeve compared to the regular K301. I have not seen an exploded view of the K302.

Is it possible to use glow plugs O.S on FX Engines?
Or is it not advisable?

Just bought a 302, and will mount it on Wednesday. Gonna put it in a Losi Eight X. Anyone used the 302 in an X yet? And if so, any issues with dimensions or anything?

My engine came with a 0.15mm head shim. The manual doesn't mention anything about this specific shim. What is it for?

Also, after the idle break in when you drive the car during the break in, lean it out to about 10hrs so the temps stay 200-220. You need be slightly rich only.

Anyone has problems with carb sticking? When I jump the car on the track it goes open throttle for split second. Also noticed when I open the carb all the way with no servos attaches, it does stick little bit. This is fx302.1

Plus one for the FX 302!! Was only 12 tanks in on break in process, and still pulled out a second in the main after some tuning during heats!

haven’t heard of anyone having this problem at our track. Make sure the you have the carb slide rotated around so it’s a straight pull for the servo. Also the actual throttle rod could be bent causing it to stick.
