Great thanks for the reply. Break in process so far so good. I was only able to get 3 tanks through it before I had to call it a day. Mine was pretty tight and took a good amount of heat to get it fired up.

Once I did it ran no problem. One thing I noticed is that the needles are ultra responsive. You turn them and do what they are supposed to do.

So far so good. How many tanks are you guys putting through it before putting on a solid tune.

Thanks again.

I put a 1 gallon through mine before I hit the track. It took a while but its worth it.
The manual asks for 3/4 of a gallon before race tuning

Wow a whole gallon. Was this all on the box or mostly rich setting running on the track?

Thanks

2 tanks on the box. Then I run it around in the street rich, slowly building up the speed and keeping the temp up with a stubby cooler on the head.

You can race it after less but ive always found the long run in makes the motor last for longer in its peak before going bad.
The motors ive run in quick have been good and lasted as long. But they have a much shorter peak period.

You just have to make the time and be patient. It can be hard to hold the excitement with a new motor

You should have opted for the Bones break in fuel. Heat cycle the whole quart and then race tune. Best $9 investment for a new engine

Yup, only one liters heat-cycle. Then run it on the track with a little rich HSN until it loosens up (mine at 3 liters).

I see they are selling it under Map price, I dont know how strict RcAmerica is on that. Anyone wants a good price on a Fx or any engine I sell for that matter pm me or e-mail me.

+1, Its tough enough to make a living in this hobby but everyone should have to play by the same rules...with the discount code thats $340 shipped..after paying shipping, insurance and paypal or credit card fees, its not even worth selling it

Its the Novarossi header i think this combo will be the choice for Truggy....

The headers i got with the FX would work well on Mugen also......
