RC Superchargers

Someone I know just recently bought an RC supercharger and he said it works great while another person I know said they don't work and they are just trouble. I have also heard people using them 4-stroke nitro engines and the same debate happens. What do you guys think? Do they really work or are they just trouble?

No need unless your a basher, on track a decent 21 will work well enough. Also in my mind the only way to super charge n rc engine is to run a belt to the flywheel and that wouldn't work with a bump box for racing purposes. And finally all that extra air would probably make the engine run lean and wear out more parts.

hi.
why do you want a super charger? :)
Personally i would use the money on a better modded engine.
But theoreticly when you juse a charger it is not entierly corect to say you wil get more air and therfore run lean..That is a mather of tuning.
The charger wil also force more fuel thru the system if you adjust it corect.

Are you dragracing? or oval running?
If youre not,dont by it!

The more truble or not?
Rc nitro engines are sometimes enough trouble,to connect a charger can not be lesser problem

Most of the times people with low end enginges think of such a solution not knowing that their engines can not handle much more power.

there's no point running superchargers with a 2 stroke cycle with piston sleeve. the extra air will just escape. its just doesn't work

Why even fathom a supercharger when nowadays you can get modded engines that can spin the wheels all the way to the moon?

And yeah, superchargers don't work with 2 stroke engines

Superchargers

Hmm.

IF you want to test how you engine will run with the extra power, why not
simply up the nitro to 50%??

At least you will see what extra power will be like in the engine. I'm not saying the engine will survive for a long time with the increased power, but, you should at least get to see what the additional power feels like.

I think if you really want to see what crazy power feels like, run an electric buggy on a 6 cell lipo. Now that's some seriously stupid power. If you can control it.

Don't tell the locomotive and river industries this, they will have to go back and redo 50+ years of engineering :weird:

Where can I buy it!!!
SuperUBERcharge FTL.
It's going on the D8T ASAP, only it will be attatched to the rear bumper and cause drag...
Maybe not.
