Default Best truggy engine

I'm looking to put a new engine in my truggy and price is no issue.
What is the biggest baddest fastest engine I could use?

I did a search and used "engine truggy" and 20 threads popped up asking this same question.

There isnt a BEST engine theres engines that are better then other pending on your price point. There are many threads if you look at the top right their a search function type in your question and you will find many many threads.

Also you need to give details. Since your new buying a 500 engine wouldnt be smart. start off with something thats cheap then learn how to tune . once you get the hang of it then move up if you feel its required.

If you are new to RC, get a Novarossi P5, because if you are new, you will surely make some mistake and ruin the engine.

If you are experienced, a Novarossi CRE Clocked 28-7 modified engine or a Novarossi Roma .25 CRE modded engine.

Nice well priced option might be the Alpha Plus S852 (orange head) .21 - this is the 'torque' version of the 852,,,should give plenty of mumbo to get a fat-ass truggy up to speed.

Racing or just strictly bashing? That's what matters quite a bit.

If you're racing then a strong performing .21 is in order so the fuel last longer, bashing can be anything really.

alpha a-352 for me!!! that is the .23 engine. revs like a .21 but has a lot more bottom end than a .21... also gets great runtimes. a-352 is the only motor i run in my truggy... jeremy

Any solid race .21 is more than enough.
Personally I like to run OS speed engines.

the best truggy engine is going to revolve around your driving and your ability to manage a throttle. Fusion X7, one of the boneto's, An RB B9 or BX9?? heck even a Fusion X5, RB Fire 11, Nova P5XLT or Nova Plus 4 would do the job. Just need to right pipe.

And lets be honest. Cost is a factor.

engines i have tried.. in order of preference..

fusion X7 with 21 and 2096 pipe combo... best IMO

Roma nasty nasty nasty.. tested with 2096/21 pipe combo.. couldn't really handle the power consistently for racing... and not as good runtimes..

HES team version of the FMS.. with 2084/21 combo.. nasty top end... great engine but cant find them anymore.

last but definitely not least.. i tried the Fusion X3 HES version... not the most powerful motor... but when i used it for race.. it was the most consistent motor i drove... low on power compared to the others i've listed but better on your pocket and gets the job done with amazing run times..
