I read some of the same stuff about the Nova engines with changing bearings from the get go, but i believe you can now buy Nova engines factory with either ceramic or steel ball bearings right from them, not sure if the ceramic coming with them would make it better but still might be a plus, and for OS i remember good fuel mileage and smooth power, i really want a good even ratio for low and top end power to get out of a corner quick and still having the low end powerful enough to launch. OS had alot of top end to my feeling but then i have to tell my self again i have tune it for a little more bottom.

The P5 cannot be bought with factory ceramics, or better bearings.

Now, you cannot take credit away from the engine only due to front bearing issues. No engine is perfect, that's being said, a P5 is less expensive than the .21 XZB, upgrade the front bearing in a P5 to a 17011 or a TKO ceramic after break in, and you still have a less expensive engine, however it is a better engine, better value.

I've been using recently a Alpha F850 "black head" and it's a affordable club racing engine. You can get it off Rcrenew.com and they can brake it in for ya if you dont feel comfortable about doing it. It screams and gets about 10 1/2 mins with the 086 pipe and Odonnells medium plug with Byrons 25% fuel. so far about 4 gallons and it's running strong and i can keep up with guys that have the OS engines.... i just need to drive like the guys with it

B5's have a very strong bottom end, great for heavier vehicle like a Truggy or Onroad GT8.

The B6 is a more smooth powerband from bottom to top, targeting buggies.

Werks has fantastic customer service, look thru alot of the Werks engine threads and Ron is there to help.

Ya there are a lot of great engines and the this thread wil have it's many posts of likes and opinions. One thing is when you go Werks racing you get the support and the engine performance when you buy one of there products.... A+ in my book, dont know why they discontinued the B7 though, i always thought that was one of there best engines

My choice would be a novarossi! I have ran every engine made to date and nova seems to be the ticket! You wont be dissapointed. Im not a sponcered driver but nova cant be beat in my opinon and also have the best carb in the biz hands down!!!
