Default How much is too much?

There seems to be an obsession now a days to have the biggest baddest engine on the block. But my question is "when is power too much power"?
Is it better to have insane lap times at the expense of run time? Can you have both?

You can only use as much power as you can put to the ground.

If you have the "bad-ass monster HP motor", and all you're doing is roasting the tires every time you touch the throttle, it's not really doing much for you, eh?

If you run on mainly high bite tracks all the time, you can get away with more power, but if the majority of your tracks are loose / dusty, try out a less powerful, or perhaps smoother motor. I bet you'll find that your lap times improve...
