i have used .12's and .21's and have had great results from the modest priced motors.
If it were me I would ask about a product and do research before I bought it :) |
I have a .12 in my FTGT2 and a .21 in my RC8B, (the .21 is actually the SH Engines brand, the company which makes the Dynamite engines). No complaints about either one. Still working on a final tune, difficult to do when I only get to the track once a month, lol!

a buddy of mine raced one in his losi 8 for a full winter/spring season, close to 8 or 9 gallons, fast and he stayed on the podium at the expert level....give it a try yours may b as good as his

i run the .28 in my truggy with great results, very easy to tune and gets a little over 8 min on a tank....
getting ready to pick up the .21 for my new serpent buggy. as stated above, dynamite motors are made by SH engines, who also make Alpha motors and Nvision |

Are you sure about that? I know they have pretty much always made Dynamite, but I think Alpha is its own company and Nvision is Italian made by LM as I understand.

I have used the Dynamite Mach 2 .21 with a Losi turbo head conversion kit and a losi re11 and it was a BEAST,it made around 11 minutes on a race tune and was very fast on the track. It was just as fast as the other motors on the track,it definately is great for sportsman or pro level.:sneaky:

i have a dynamite xp.21 v2 that i use as a practice motor, and for club races it is great, I think i paid around $115 shipped on ebay. Great power, good bottom end for a buggy, I havent ran it in my truggy, but it would be good in there too. If your not looking to get 12 minutes of runtime this motor is great.

The Dynamite XPE is an alpha made engine based off the Z852.
Nice running engine for sure, some of the Horizon (Losi) guys run them around here.. |
I RUN THE MACH .21 IN A MP9TKI2 DYNAMITE 053 PIPE. DECENT POWER OK RUN TIME 7.5 CARB. RE. I HAVE ABOUT 5 OR 6 GALLON ON IT I STILL HAVE TO HEAT THE MOTOR UP IT HAS CRAZY PINCH.( I RACE ON A SMALL TIGHT TECH. TRACK KEEP IN MIND) I WOULD DEF. BUY ANOTHER MACH .21

The Dynamite .21 XPE = Alpha based
All other Dynamite .21s/.24s/28s = SH Based I've got the XPE in my 2.0 with the Werks 2058 - I havent found a better pipe for that motor. Initially I ran the Dynamite Platinum #4 Xtra-Hot plug during the first few gallons, but now have the #5 Hot plug, and I've maybe put a total of 4 plugs thru this motor in roughly 4 months of running. When I ran the XP/XPv2, I really liked the Orion 2013 pipe on that motor. I never tried the 2058 on it though. The .28 is duuurty in truggy. Not the best runtime, but that thing has a ton of torque and top end. I run that with the Orion 2013, turbo plug conversion and #5 Hot Dynamite plug also. For the price, you'd be hard pressed to find a better motor. The Nova P5 is probably the next best bang-for-the-buck out there right now. |
