Default losi 350 turbo head conversion

anyone try the new turbo head conversion for the losi 350? I'm looking for more power and was wondering if this new head really had an effect. There are so many new engines out there now I am just overwhelmed and not looking to spend big bucks for horsepower just yet, but if you have a suggestion for a new motor with power please post up, thanx guys, peace

i have had the turbo button in mine and really not a huge differnce, run time is a tad better. try a smaller carb restrictor or a stiffer clutch set up, that will get you a little better low to mid power.

It's hard to say as I installed the head with RE11 pipe at the same time. Right off the bat the difference was noticeable, but getting a good tune was giving me Fitz. Finally after going from.4mm to .6mm on the shims she ran great. Even though I bought a new engine which is still yet to be installed, the Losi 350 is real impressive. I have no problem getting over everything at the track, and it pulls all the way down the 250' straight.

Spend the 20 bux

Let me try to track down the info I have from an old post. Pretty sure I only added 2 of the shims that came with the turbo button on 30% but it may have been all 3. It ran very well with the RE11 but screamed with the 2053. Runtime wasnt great but power was insane, nobody believed it was the RTR engine when they drove it.

Had to dig through some old posts but I found this.

Nope, 2053. GRP made one that worked great on their Tuned engine and it was a monster on the Losi 350. Search EFRA 2053 if you want to pick one up but the RE11 works just fine (EFRA 2073 if I remember correctly).

What's your elevation? Could have swore I read a thread last week where someone at a much higher elevation than me was running .4mm and recommended that running more the closer you get to seal level. Went nutz looking for the thread but can't find it.
