As mentioned above, when cap is added the flywheel gets even closer to chassis. So def start with the mugen style. Every mm counts at that point. When running Mugen, we filed the chassis slot a bit for more clearance. It sounds horrible, but as phillyjynx pointed out, the Kyosho slot is way bigger than Mugen. So we felt comfortable doing this. We never had an issue

what size is the little imperial Allen wrench that comes with these clutches? I've lost mine and would prefer to get a proper driver as a replacement.

Just to put in my 2 cents: This clutch is a huge improvement on the T-Maxx Classic. The adjustable engagement points mean it's possible to set the clutch so it's only lightly engaged when it reaches the RPM that engages the fwd/rev pawls inside the transmission, so the transmission doesn't bog-down the engine the instant those pawls engage. This means the T-Maxx Classic no longer stutters as it starts to move. It's worth every cent of the $50 it costs to buy one.

Hey Socket,
I run the brass flywheel on both my Alpha .23's in my truggys and on my Alpha Dragon in my Mbx7r. I tend to be trigger happy so it helps me with those powerful engines. And I only run the Komposite shoes, gotta love the mirror finish on the inside of the clutch bell. And the infinite adjustment of the clutch springs.
Cheers
Brian

Can't wait to try a four shoe Buku!
I would guess the four shoe would be better at keeping the clutch bell aligned if u set your stagger to have one set of opposing shoes open at the same time and later the other set. Having said that I've never had a problem with each shoe of the three shoe clutch opening at different times.
