The red v2 smd box is the one I've got and I never let's me down it has the power to turn a new alpha over and anyone with an alpha will tell you those things are tight.

great!is the smd box red or orange? it's hard to tell on the pics

I'll need to order a starter box today to get it before this week end

so I'll need:
- lipo
- connectors
- cables maybe?
- anything else?

for the lipo how many mah would you get for a day of racing (we are two racers) without having to do a charge? is the C rating important?

thanks!

thanks, finally I'll be getting this one:

it's a ofna blue box clone and available in grey.. I don't like blue/ red for starter boxes, when they wear it doesn't look good IMO

this box has two 775 motors in it

It absolutely baffles me why people spend thousands on there gear and then
want to cheap out on the one piece of equipment that has to work EVERYTIME
or you cant even get the thing STARTED. Trust me on this starter boxes fail the
most when your using them what are people saving on these cheap boxes 20 bucks?
There is a reason why the OFNA truggy box is the first and most recommended box.
Its earned its reputation.

And just because a box looks the same does not mean that the motors, switch
gear, belt ect are the same quality as the OFNA one.

you're so naive... the ofna 10244, fastrax fast561, and robitronic R06010 are exactly the same.. look on the web

ofna

robitronic

I'm not trying to save bucks on a cheap starter box, I'm getting the best one available for the lowest price I can find... Robitronic is sold in Germany and it's far from being a cheap brand. OFNA isn't Hudy either..

you honestly think brands will change the hardware of the same starter box just for fun rather than cutting the costs by rebranding it?

I chose the robitronic based on its characteristics (two 775 motors) and YES I'm absolutely sure they are the same based on the pictures

this is a starter box not a rocket, the retail price of the OFNA and Robitronic are exactly the same it's just that the Robitronic price has been reduced on the site I ordered it

if you have a OFNA box we can compare them and you'll see by yourself then

I have been using that one (Q world brand) for the last 3 years and it awesome. I'm using a 4S5000mah lipo in mine and after 3 days of usage there was still 60% left in the lipo. And that lipo is 4 years old.
The rubber wheel is almost worn and needs to be replaced very soon, but other than that it's still going strong.

Hi Jasper, thanks for your feedback I went for the Robitronic. I saw it this sunday in Fays and it was a power house. Now I just need to buy two 2s lipos and connectors.

What type of plugs did you use?

I use EC5 plugs in mine. Isn't a 4S pack not cheaper than 2x2s?
If you get a 5000mah lipo, you don't a very high C rating. 20c should be enough.
