Default OS 28xz Crankcase alternative Ninja ??

Could someone tell me if a 28 Ninja case is the same as the 28xz OS. I need to be 100%, porting and all. I have a cracked case and checking into alternative options.

Why not just get the OS case? they dont make the ninja .28 any longer.

I have a buddy who has a Ninja 28 that I can get. He's in another state so I don't have it to compare. I don't have a problem finding a new block. Who wants to spend $120 if they don't have to?

The .28 ninja engine was made by grp and has nothing to do with the O.S engine.. So u cant use O.S parts on this engine.

And the Ninja 28 was from the MR line of engines aka GRP, Technopower, TQ. Not compatible with the OS or JX line of motors.

Thanks guys. Sure saved me some time. I don't have a clue exactly what those Ninja 28 cases even looked like. I was told it might work. But there again, he runs Ninja and doesn't know about the O.S. parts.

I may have to just break down and get a new one. 2nd cracked case in a month but wouldn't run anything else.

Thanks again.

I have a used OS 28 case that I'll sell you for $40 shipped or $60 for complete engine minus carb. The crank pin is worn out, but everything else is good.

I'd guess something's wrong if you've had two crankcases crack in such a short period of time. Check your chassis for bend or tweak. Also the chassis braces should be secure. Maybe the engine is situated too close to the chassis. Over bumps and jumps the chassis flexes, which could cause the engine to hit the chassis. Are there any marks that would confirm this on the chassis at the engine area?
