I've never had an OS, and yes have often heard they are easy to tune. But on the other hand I have never seen as many engines die at races as VSPEC's.. Conrods, mostly.. But they stand out to me as liking to die young.. VSPEC's anyway.. I like what I've seen of the new XZ-B, and the price is good.. But then you hear talk of bad bearings, etc.. And honestly, OS are not the only engines that you can run all race day without touching the needles..

For easy to tune, cheap, and big power, I think you have to have Argus on the list, if not at the top. I read up and liked what I heard, and after getting one and running it in, it's lived up to the forum hype. With the 0801 pipe it's a ripper as well..

Any of the Alphas are right up there too.
